Septic Maintenance & Recertifications in Ascension Parish

Buying or selling a house
In Louisiana, a home sale on a septic system typically requires the system to be inspected, pumped, and recertified before the sale goes through. The system is buried, so nothing about its condition shows on a walkthrough — the recertification is what tells everyone at the closing table the truth.
If you are selling, going in already knowing the system condition means the septic report is not something that gets discovered and renegotiated a week before closing.
What gets looked at
- Tank condition, lids, and access
- The aerator on treatment plants — running, and actually treating
- Liquid levels, which show how the tank and outlet are behaving
- Where the system discharges, and whether it is doing so cleanly
- Signs of past repairs, standing water, or failing components
Every pump-out gets a look
Whenever we pump a tank, our technician takes a couple of minutes to check the aerator and give the system a visual inspection with a verbal report — no extra charge. Small problems get caught while they are still small.
